Site Reliability Engineer

Role summary / purposeWe're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE team focused on observability, monitoring, and technical consulting across cloud-based data platforms. You'll work hands-on with cloud infrastructure, data workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise monitoring tools to keep critical systems healthy, performant, and reliable at scale.Key responsibilitiesCollaborate with Infrastructure teams in implementing critical solutions by automating routine tasksMonitor and manage production environments, proactively identifying and resolving issuesParticipate in building advanced tooling for system access monitoring, log session recording, and administration of reliability across multiple geographically distributed data centersEngage with engineering teams to improve on-call efficiencies, drive incident management, and post-mortem analysisPerform capacity planning and optimization to support growing demands and traffic patternsMaintain monitoring and alerting systems for proactive system health checksContinuously improve system performance, stability, and security through data-driven analysis and optimizationFacilitate knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation and diagramsRequirements - education & experience4 years in IT3 years in developmentHands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Proficiency with monitoring/observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, or New RelicFamiliarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change managementProficiency in at least 1 coding language or frameworkNice-to-have / preferred skillsFamiliarity with AI tools, agents, LLMs, and copilot technologiesExperience defining and tracking SLAs/SLOs/SLIsEmployment details - type, location, hoursHybrid, Monday through Thursday in the office Impellam Group and its brands are equal-opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
