Site Project Manager

Project: On Site Mechanical, Electrical and Process upgrade works to the sludge farm at the Dundalk Wastewater Treatment facility.

About the role

Manage and coordinate the design, construction, commissioning, and handover activities for the upgrade works.

Responsibilities

• Management, supervision and coordination of a team of engineers, safety personnel and M&E installation personnel.
• Represent the project’s interests at client meetings and participate in and document project coordination meetings.
• Management of the on-site PSDP & PSCS duties and responsibilities.
• Develop and encourage a culture of innovation and initiative in all HSQE matters.
• Embrace the fundamentals of Communication, Coordination, Cooperation and Collaboration.
• Management of site documentation including signage, audits, method statements, reports, and site sub-contractor documentation (a full-time HSQE officer will support).
• Construction planning & scheduling.
• Procurement and expediting of material & equipment.
• Project cost review, reporting, updating and accounting.
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment.
• Project closeout including handover of completed safety file.
• Prepare progress reports and technical reports for clients and internal use.
• Timeline planning of all installations from contract award to completion and handover, including planning and overseeing commissioning & validation of the plant and mechanical systems.
• Management of EPS performance against Contractual KPIs.
• Day-to-day communications & documentation with the Employer’s Representative (ER) and site Resident Engineer (RE) staff via a positive, proactive team approach.
• Coordination, preparation and completion of handover documentation, testing, commissioning and process proving documentation.
• Coordination of Environmental & Ecology requirements.
• Update works programmes weekly and monthly as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience and suitable qualifications within Wastewater Mechanical Engineering and/or Wastewater Environmental Engineering disciplines.
• Specific experience associated with sludge treatment, dewatering, biogas and CHP systems preferred.
• Experience in project management, engineering, construction or related industries.
• Experience delivering water and wastewater treatment projects advantageous.
• Experience coordinating project teams, contractors, suppliers or site personnel.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, product delivery and installation activities.
• Experience with project documentation, quality systems and health & safety requirements.
