Amazon Fulfillment Center – Site Procurement Manager

About the role

As the Site Procurement Manager, you will serve as the bridge between centralized Procurement and building leadership. You will own the site’s indirect procurement operations, including vendor management of third-party service providers, purchase order management, and inventory management. You will lead supplier management KPI and metrics reporting, identify deviations, and drive improvements in collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement operations support for fulfillment centers, including managing suppliers (goods and services), non-inventory labor, flow and space models, cycle counts, inventory management, and procurement transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational KPIs; measure, control, and benchmark procurement processes with the non-inventory team.
  • Develop expertise in non-inventory items and collaborate with similar buildings to implement best practices.
  • Build relationships across the network to share and implement best practices, including training teams such as Operations, Loss Prevention, PXT, Transportation, Facilities Management, and Safety on procurement processes.
  • Work with internal teams, Finance, and Procurement Operations to understand budgetary targets and establish methods for measuring savings, value, and category metrics.
  • Assist Finance and internal teams in determining budgets and managing blanket POs.
  • Monitor supplier performance using tools such as supplier scorecards and Global Audit Tools for third-party suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Category and Global Supplier Management to drive improvements across categories like janitorial, food service, pest control, landscaping, snow removal, water coolers, PPE, and waste management.
  • Ensure third-party suppliers comply with site-level contracts and service terms, including SLA response times.
  • Track and measure savings performance, developing action plans to meet goals and reduce waste in fulfillment center procurement processes.
  • Standardize best practices across the network.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop innovative procurement solutions that support Operations.
  • Implement methods to track supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve vendor payment issues promptly.
  • Support Procure-to-Pay execution and local sourcing activities to meet business needs.
  • Assist the centralized Procurement team (GPCS) and Global Procurement Organization (GPO) pillars, including ProcOps, Category, Supplier Diversity, Supplier Management, Procurement Excellence, Reusables, Technology, and PMO.
  • Work in a warehouse environment, requiring frequent walking and adaptability to varying temperatures due to open dock doors.
  • Regular travel to assigned site(s); travel distances may exceed 50 miles depending on business needs.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Excel or Tableau experience (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables).
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with supplier or vendor relationship management.
  • Experience in procurement.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience with Coupa or other financial management/procurement software.
  • Experience with cost accounting.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.
  • Highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity.
  • Provide a positive customer experience internally and externally.

Pay

Base salary range: $51,400.00 – $84,700.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
