About the Role

This full-time position provides Peer Support Services through sharing lived experience to support and encourage recovery, advocating for individuals in recovery, assisting consumers with skill-building and resource connection, facilitating community relationships and support systems, leading peer support sessions and mentoring assigned consumers, and assisting consumers in developing and achieving recovery goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the TAYLRD Drop-In Center during operational hours
  • Provide direct supervision and support to assigned TAYLRD staff
  • Conduct outreach activities and collaborate with community partners and systems of care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and state requirements
  • Adhere to all Pathways policies and procedures and applicable regulations, including 908 KAR 2:220
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Certification as a Youth Peer Support Specialist (YPSS) through a state-approved training program, or ability to obtain certification prior to hire with agency support
  • Must meet YPSS credential age requirement of 35 years old or younger
  • Completion of DBHDID-sanctioned 30-hour Peer Support Specialist training required (training/retraining available through Pathways if needed)
  • At least one (1) year of managerial or supervisory experience required
  • Qualifying lived experience consistent with Peer Support Specialist regulations

Qualifications

  • Experience with substance use disorder (SUD) and/or mental health (MH) recovery populations preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and work collaboratively within a team environment

Skills & Knowledge

  • Understanding of recovery-oriented systems of care
  • Ability to establish professional boundaries while utilizing lived experience appropriately
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively with youth and young adults in recovery
  • Ability to provide services in compliance with Kentucky regulations and Pathways policies and procedures

Salary Range: $34,500 - $38,500
