About the role
RSi is looking to fill an Assistant Site Manager position to support our Army customer at Ft. Benning, GA on the UH60 Program supporting the US Army Ranger School. In this role, the Assistant Site Manager will serve as the primary Manager on second shift, ensuring continuity of operations and seamless mission execution for the program and may serve as the site lead in their absence.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the site manager on second shift, responsible for oversight of all maintenance and support activities and personnel
- Ensures thorough communication and handoff of tasks, status, personnel concerns, training, and maintenance status with first shift and second shift personnel
- Responsible for leadership and mentorship of all personnel
- Assume Site Lead responsibilities in their absence to maintain continuity of operations
- Enforce Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements and standards of conduct
- Responsible for enforcing company and contract standards and policies
- Oversee UH-60 maintenance to ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness
- Ensure personnel are properly trained, qualified, and assigned to appropriate duties
- Participate in daily Production Control meetings to align maintenance priorities when duties call for shift change
- Maintain coordination with Site Manager to support mission objectives
- Ensure accountability and proper tracking of government property
- Identify and resolve operational, maintenance, and personnel issues
- Promote a safe and mission-focused work environment
- Coach, train, and counsel mechanics on second shift
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years aviation management with 5 years of site management experience
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience (military or civilian)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and exercise good judgement
Work Environment
- Aircraft areas/hangars, workshops, and other industrial settings
- Physical environment includes outside, inside, heights, and stairs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and aircraft platforms
- Ability to work at heights and in confined or awkward spaces
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise, etc.)
