About the role

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager to oversee field operations on their projects. This role involves managing all aspects of project activities, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Takes ownership of all aspects of field activities from start-up to completion.
  • Maintains and tracks the overall project schedule and creates a two-three week lookahead.
  • Provides real-time data to the project manager for schedule maintenance.
  • Ensures compliance with site safety regulations, including personnel and jobsite standards.
  • Trains project team members on Gray software such as CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, E-Time, and GoGray.
  • Conducts site and weekly meetings to coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure cooperative project execution.
  • Develops and executes project closeout and punch list procedures.
  • Assists in developing scopes of work and preparing various reports, including cost to complete and monthly billings.
  • Manages subcontractor procurement and ensures timely buyouts.
  • Leads, coaches, and trains subordinates to foster a professional contractual relationship with all project stakeholders.
  • Establishes and maintains a jobsite safety culture aligned with Gray’s safety program.
  • Communicates project progress and coordinates with the project management team to ensure timely project closure.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10+ years of related construction experience.
  • Experience in managing field activities on projects, including collaboration between design, project, and schedule management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to manage and direct project teams to successful completions.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications.
  • Skills in utilizing Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint.
