Site Manager - Manchester Airport (MHT)

About the role
The Site Manager will oversee all operational staff, budget, and performance for maintenance activities at Manchester Airport (MHT), including:
- Operation and maintenance of the Baggage Handling System, Passenger Boarding Bridges, and HVAC Infrastructure (including extra works and projects)
- Building Automation System management
- Contract management
- Energy management
- Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
This role involves managing and developing site services to meet company and client standards, ensuring contractual performance, and driving cost efficiencies. The Site Manager will also contribute to business development at Manchester and other U.S. airports through the Equans Airports business unit.
Responsibilities
- Manage the site budget and all financial activities
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance and operation processes in collaboration with airport supervisors and managers
- Ensure adherence to administrative and CMMS processes
- Supervise all Equans site personnel, including maintenance and operations teams
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work tasks
- Uphold Health & Safety responsibilities in line with company policies and procedures
- Analyze system issues and propose corrective solutions
- Provide equipment lifecycle information to the Equans Area Manager to support decision-making
- Coordinate with airport supervisors during system failures and contingency plans
- Serve as the liaison between Manchester-Boston Regional Airport clients and Equans management
- Communicate and implement directives from upper management
- Attend meetings with airlines and airport authorities, relaying requests to supervisors
- Initiate and sell new out-of-scope projects
- Promote Equans’s services to develop new business opportunities in facility management
- Utilize software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and CMMS tools
- Ensure all personnel receive proper training and evaluate ongoing training needs
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to qualify at a competency exam and pass all background checks and security screenings per Equans and airport requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar environment
- Engineering Degree (Electrical/Mechanical) – desirable
- Building Services Diploma – desirable
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving experience in a medium to large organization
- Proven track record in managing a maintenance department in a similar environment
- On-call availability to support operations during emergencies at any time
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., Maximo, Planon)
- Valid passport for travel to the Head Office as required
