Aircraft Site Manager
About the role
The Site Manager plans and manages projects under the direction of a Program Manager, coordinating financial and budget activities to maximize earnings and increase efficiency. Monitors projects to manage scope and deliverables, and may act as a point of contact for the client. Effectively manages resources, identifies and mitigates project risks, and provides leadership to site-assigned personnel.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and leadership to all site-assigned personnel.
- Prepare and submit site labor/non-labor budgets, forecast estimated costs, and control subcontractors.
- Manage service contracts in support of site operations.
- Oversee department managers/staff assigned to site operations.
- Coordinate range scheduling with all departments to ensure training exercises are properly staffed.
- Manage and coordinate research and investigations into business problems.
- Provide guidance and assistance relative to operating problems and projects.
- Coordinate range scheduling with government representatives as required.
- Oversee scheduling of work assignments and workloads in accordance with operational tasking and maintenance requirements.
- Interface with union representatives to ensure adherence to union agreements and negotiated requirements.
- Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
- Periodically travel in support of customers’ missions.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of academic, technical, or military training and experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 5+ years with a Master’s degree (diverse management experience including tactical training systems and/or aviation systems preferred).
- Excellent communication, analytical, project management, and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, capable of preparing management-level reports and presentations.
- Frequent travel required.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA A&P Certificate highly desired.
- 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and/or delegating the work of others.
Pay
Salary: $145,225.60. The compensation range or hourly rate listed is a good-faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
