Site Manager - Fabrication Division

About the role

Lexicon offers construction management, fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial, commercial, and roadway projects, as well as golf course construction and management services. The Site Manager is a full-time onsite position responsible for the onsite coordination of the project scope of work under the direction of the Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Travel position - supporting projects in Arizona and/or Ohio
• Main point of contact for all site meetings, site scheduling, coordination, deliveries, and erector management
• Understand the project-specific scope of work and communicate it with the erector, client, or other trades when required
• Work under the direction of the Project Manager and report any issues, concerns, milestones, or incidents
• Maintain a delivery log and manage deliveries to site with the shipping department
• Prepare daily reports and track progress of the project
• Document, track, and research all fabrication errors, detailing errors, or erection issues (Field Change Notices), and coordinate corrections with involved parties
• Track and understand design changes and revised drawings to coordinate with the site team, including tracking field work to the correct change order number
• Work overtime, including weekends if required, with regular, punctual attendance

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience with steel fabrication and/or steel erection
• Familiarity with AISC and OSHA requirements
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new software used by specific clients

Physical Demands

• Some overtime required to meet deadlines
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally
• Requires long periods of sitting
• Full-time onsite position which may require temporary travel for extended periods
