About the role
The Site Manager will lead a production team and manage all aspects of a fast-paced Dry Mix concrete manufacturing facility in Memphis, TN. This role includes responsibility and accountability for bottom-line results.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule production activities, and supervise the production process
- Oversee maintenance of all equipment, including managing downtime and implementing a preventative maintenance program
- Manage inventory control, counts, and audits
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, maintenance, and environmental compliance
- Estimate production costs, maintain high quality standards, and ensure good customer service
- Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs
- Maximize the use of transportation/logistics
- Collaborate with different departments (e.g., suppliers, sales, customers) to execute organizational policies and goals
- Ensure compliance with SOX rules and regulations
- Ensure the business meets expected financial returns
- Ensure compliance with all local and federal environmental regulations
- Perform other duties related to the nature of the job as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent of ten years of progressive related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is a plus
- Experience in planning, negotiating, and organizational skills
- Prior P&L experience
- Strong leadership skills while maintaining a team atmosphere
- Solid computer skills and written/oral communication
