Principal Accountabilities
- Communicate and serve as the gateway between D&Z and client by directing, delegating, and executing work through others at site safely, within site's maintenance and project budgets, and in accordance with terms of contract.
- Has a strong understanding of labor management.
- Advise Supervisors, oversees orientation and development of craft employees, including employee relations, human performance and productivity, performance management and employment management in conjunction with supervisor.
- Perform BOLT (Behavioral Observation Learning Tool) observations and Safety inspections as required.
- Good housekeeping and safe work practices are followed by the client, D&Z team, and other contractors.
- Drives Torque Principles across sites to support our Safety Culture.
- Leads and provides information in business and safety meetings (internal & external).
- Partner with support functions to manage budget and report on financial impacts and metrics.
- Assist in the hiring process to find aptly qualified D&Z craft to fill open positions.
- Assess the skills and identifies training requirements. Recommends changes in assignments.
- Conduct and/or coordinate required safety training of the D&Z team.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience at the supervisor / journeyman or technical level in a plant services or manufacturing environment.
- Completion of Journeyman Program with 2 or more years of experience in one of the following trades: Electrical or Mechanical is a plus but not required.
