Site Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Site Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Lubbock, TX. As a Site Manager, you will work directly with site leadership teams to oversee day-to-day operations across warehouse, office, treating, packaging, delinting, and debagging activities at the Lubbock and Littlefield sites. You will provide leadership and support to Plant Managers to execute cross-functional initiatives in logistics, production planning and control, total quality management, EHS programs, manufacturing systems, equipment and facilities engineering, materials management, and process design.

This role is accountable for achieving daily, weekly, and annual cost, inventory, and production targets set by Cotton Seed Supply while ensuring delivery of high-quality products in a safe, compliant environment. Clear communication with direct reports and collaboration across departments are essential for meeting operational goals and supporting broader business objectives. You will also champion continuous improvement efforts—focused on safety, quality, cost efficiency, asset utilization, and overall performance—by implementing best practices and adopting emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day operations in debagging, treating, packaging, and de-linting across Lubbock and Littlefield
• Operating within and enforcing BASF safety rules and regulations
• Reviewing and validating operational data to meet site/company standards
• Troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating repairs and maintenance plans
• Directing inventory management for chemicals, bags, raw goods, seed counts, and packaging operations
• Monitoring seed quality and managing variety cleanouts per SOPs
• Leading Quality & Stewardship initiatives and supporting QA lab compliance, testing, and training
• Facilitating seed conditioning processing and serving as a key SAP user for conditioning and audit support
• Preparing for and supporting audits, creating action plans, reporting data, and ensuring closure of audit items
• Developing employee skills, conducting performance management, and supporting goal setting and scheduling
• Supporting local EHS
• Traveling to Littlefield to provide operational leadership and strategic site support
• Managing CapEx and OpEx projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Seed Science, Plant Science, Agricultural Economics, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in manufacturing, seed production, ginning, seed conditioning, or equivalent farm/mechanical operations
• Working knowledge of OSHA PSM regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (SAP preferred)
• Understanding and adherence to Safety, Responsible Care, Security, Stewardship, and Quality Management systems
• Strong organizational, leadership, and managerial skills, including direct-report leadership and team development
• Experience setting and reviewing annual objectives, managing employee training, and enabling role progression to build high-performing teams
• Ability to manage costs, inventory, capital projects, and support site budgeting processes
• Critical, strategic, and logical thinking to plan for future site needs
• Lean, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence certification (preferred)
• Ability to travel 10-15%, domestically
