Position Summary

This is a hands-on HR leadership role responsible for overseeing payroll administration, employee relations, HR operations, workforce planning, talent management, and HR strategy. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership while ensuring consistent HR practices, a positive employee experience, and alignment with broader business objectives. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing day-to-day HR operations with strategic initiatives that support business growth, employee development, organizational effectiveness, and a high-performance culture. This role operates within a matrix organization and requires strong partnership with both local leadership and regional HR teams.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & HR Operations

  • Oversee site payroll administration and ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Partner with payroll, benefits, and HR shared services teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Maintain HR data integrity and reporting accuracy
  • Monitor workforce metrics, KPIs, and HR analytics to support business decision-making
  • Drive consistency and continuous improvement across HR policies, processes, and practices
  • Support compliance audits and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Lead employee relations investigations and workplace issue resolution
  • Coach managers through performance management, corrective actions, and difficult employee conversations
  • Provide guidance on policy interpretation, employment law compliance, and workplace best practices
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment through proactive issue resolution and manager support
  • Support a culture of accountability, trust, and open communication
  • Partner with leadership to address organizational challenges and workforce concerns

HR Strategy & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to site leadership
  • Align people strategies with operational and business objectives
  • Support workforce planning, organizational development, succession planning, and talent management initiatives
  • Partner with leaders to build a high-performing culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, onboarding, and leadership development initiatives
  • Collaborate with regional HR teams and Centers of Excellence to implement company-wide programs and initiatives

Talent Management & Workforce Planning

  • Support recruiting strategy and ongoing workforce growth initiatives
  • Partner with hiring managers to address staffing needs and talent acquisition priorities
  • Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions
  • Identify and develop talent pipelines to support future business growth
  • Support organizational design, workforce capability, and employee development strategies
  • Enhance onboarding processes and employee experience programs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, chemical, refinery, plant, or production environments
  • Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience
  • Experience supporting payroll administration and HR operations
  • Demonstrated success in workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development
  • Experience utilizing HR metrics, reporting, and analytics to drive business outcomes
  • Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Ability to build credibility with leaders and employees at all levels
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience supporting a matrixed or global organization
  • Experience supporting manufacturing growth, expansions, or large-scale hiring initiatives
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, ADP, or similar HRIS platforms
  • Change management and continuous improvement experience
