Site Finance Manager

National salary range: $85,000–$150,000.

About the role

We are looking for a top-notch Site Finance Manager who will provide financial and operational insight and guidance to enhance performance and process efficiency in a distribution-center environment. The role involves influencing operational leaders and decision-making, solving problems, pursuing continuous-improvement opportunities, and delivering analytical support that directly impacts company profitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for all Accounting and Finance activities, including month-end close, payroll, receivables, payables, and operational activities such as warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, throughput reporting, and analysis.
• Conduct customer meetings as a representative of DHL Supply Chain, leading discussions on billing, strategy, and budgets.
• Handle commercial complexity, including billing parameters, flex budgeting, KPI penalties/incentives, and gain-share/pain-share arrangements.
• Support sites with multiple locations and/or customers.
• Provide information to external customers regarding items on customer invoices.
• Audit vendor payables for accuracy and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained prior to payment.
• Execute daily customer/vendor contract requirements, identify accessorial activity, and ensure necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance and HR department associates daily, providing support and assistance as needed.
• Support Kronos application and set-up to ensure accurate hourly activity reporting.
• Interact with General Managers, Managers, and Supervisors to provide analytical support.
• Participate in daily activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
• Engage directly with Accounting and Commercial Finance departments.
• Provide ad-hoc analytical support to operations personnel in all areas of the operation.
• Prepare month-end close accrual and reclass journal entries.
• Assist with accounts receivable processing and collection.
• Assist with accounts payable processing.
• Reconcile Purchase Orders to support expense recognition.
• Prepare daily and weekly labor analysis reports for operations productivity analysis.
• Participate in the collection of performance measurements consistent with customer, vendor, and site requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Logistics industry experience.
• Working knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.
• Advanced accounting knowledge: P&L and balance sheet.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills, from C-suite to warehouse.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels; team player.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Advanced financial skillset: budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
