Responsibilities
- Coaching both Guides and students by analyzing performance metrics, observing classroom interactions, and delivering direct feedback, then ensuring both parties meet measurable objectives
- Leading one-hour interactive workshops for K-3 learners focused on life skills including public speaking, concentration, teamwork, resilience, accountability, and feedback exchange
- Conducting individual and small-group motivational sessions that link each child's personal goals and interests to tangible academic achievement
- Creating and iterating on playbooks that translate your most effective methods into scalable systems that other Guides can reliably implement
- Training Guides on these playbooks and demonstrating exemplary facilitation so quality standards remain consistent as the team expands
Requirements
- Able to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Miami, FL; New York City, NY; or San Francisco, CA; relocation assistance is available
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or a closely related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with elementary-age children (approximately ages 5 to 9)
- Prior experience managing a team of 5 or more people, with authority to make hiring and performance-based removal decisions
- Demonstrated experience building, launching, or substantially expanding a program, team, school, or initiative from inception, rather than managing an established operation
- Comfortable operating in an educational environment that rejects conventional teaching approaches
- Authorized to work legally in the United States

- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Proven ability using metrics, dashboards, or data analytics to identify issues and produce measurable progress
- Proven ability coaching or managing other adults to achieve quantifiable outcomes, beyond executing tasks personally
- History of coaching or managing other adults to achieve quantifiable outcomes, beyond executing tasks personally
- Experience in youth development, camp leadership, competitive coaching, tutoring, or enrichment programs where motivation played a key role
- Strong ability facilitating workshops or speaking publicly to groups of young children
