Site Coordinator (Water/Wastewater)

Responsibilities

• Planning, coordinating, and supervising work and subcontractors on field project sites
• Works with considerable independence but reports to project field leadership
• Understands the importance of completing the work in accordance with contract documents and building codes
• Plans work from oral and written instructions; assigns and supervises the work of personnel engaged in the installation and repairs
• Supervises, inspects, and keeps records of the completion of the punch list
• Recruits and trains skilled trades helper personnel
• Establishes safety and work performance standards
• Manages material and delivery handling plans with team and subcontractors
• Orders and updates jobsite supplies as needed
• Covers site cleanup
• Completes miscellaneous duties or special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard high school, GED, or vocational school with experience as a journeyman; or equivalent training and experience
• Must be a team player and/or work well with others
• Highly preferred: Construction or related experience
• Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the construction trade
• Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work
• Able to supervise the work of skilled and semi-skilled craft workers
• Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings
• Maintains good working relationships with personnel of other departments
• Communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally
• Skilled in the use and care of the standard tools and equipment for the industry
• Comprehends and can communicate in English
• Ability to communicate in additional language(s) encouraged
