About the role

We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Coordinator to support planning, design, and maintenance of water and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will assist in the development of designs, perform condition assessments, and ensure compliance with design documents.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning level, preliminary, and detailed designs of water/wastewater and stormwater pump facilities under instruction from the Project Engineer or person in responsible charge.
  • Support condition assessments and rehabilitation planning for existing pump station infrastructure.
  • Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner.
  • Perform as part of a quality assurance team and conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables.
  • Perform field investigations, site visits, and construction observation to ensure compliance with design documents.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate and ability to obtain.
  • Experience in water/wastewater/water resources projects, focusing on water/wastewater treatment, pump stations, and pipelines, or water resources/stormwater.
  • Preferred local candidates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.
  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Skills

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/MicroStation is preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
