About The Position We are hiring three Site/Civil Laborers and Equipment Operators to join our field construction team working primarily on sports field and site/civil construction projects. We are looking for experienced construction professionals who have a strong understanding of earthwork, excavation, drainage, concrete, site preparation, and grading. Candidates should be comfortable operating equipment and performing hands-on construction activities as part of a field crew. Responsibilities Perform hands-on site and civil construction activitiesAssist with excavation, earthwork, grading, and site preparationInstall storm drainage and underground pipingPerform fine grading and aggregate placementOperate skid steers, excavators, compactors, and other construction equipmentAssist with laser grading and machine-control operationsRead and work from construction plans and grade informationAssist with field layout and measurementsPerform compaction and subgrade preparationLoad, unload, move, and stage construction materialsMaintain tools and equipmentMaintain a clean and organized jobsiteFollow project specifications and direction from the Working ForemanFollow all company and jobsite safety requirementsWork as part of a crew to complete projects efficiently and accurately Qualifications Previous experience in site/civil constructionExperience with earthwork, excavation, drainage, grading, or site preparationSports field construction experience is strongly preferredExperience in operating construction equipmentAbility to understand basic grades, elevations, and slopesAbility to read and understand construction plans is preferredExperience with laser grading systems is a plusExperience with machine-control systems is a plusValid driver's licenseReliable transportationAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to perform physically demanding construction workWillingness to travel to project locations as needed Travel, Lodging & Per Diem Our projects may be located throughout Indiana & Michigan (potentially surrounding states). Company-provided lodging and per diem will be included for qualifying out-of-town projects. Employees will not be expected to cover their own lodging when traveling for company work. Per diem will be provided to help cover meals and other incidental expenses associated with approved project travel.
