SIS Training and Development Specialist

About the role

The Training and Development Specialist will work with all levels of the organization to define the plant training needs as it pertains to job roles (technical, leadership and the Stellantis Industrial System: SIS) and will create and deploy the relevant course material. Training methods will include classroom training, simulation-based activities, in plant and in academy workshops and coaching sessions. In-plant follow up with participants is required to gauge proper implementation of the methods and tools taught. Training planning as well as tracking and reporting of key metrics is necessary to capture knowledge gain and KPI and KAI improvements. This opportunity allows trainers at the SIS Academies to collaborate with all of the SIS Academy teams in Warren, Kokomo and Mexico ensuring synergies between all Academies.

Responsibilities

• Create and deploy relevant course material for technical, leadership and SIS job roles
• Develop and manage training programs using classroom, simulation-based activities, workshops and coaching sessions
• Conduct in-plant follow-up to assess proper implementation of training methods and tools
• Plan and track training metrics to measure knowledge gain and KPI/KAI improvements
• Collaborate with SIS Academy teams in Warren, Kokomo and Mexico to ensure synergies between academies
• Liaise with North American Shop Directors/Domain Leads to obtain core processes/tools and create training material
• Create training material that is 30% theory based and 70% simulation based
• Create creative and innovative interactive activities aligned with training material
• Implement WCM or SIS core methodology and ensure its active application
• Develop training curriculum and ensure retention gain and application

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Experience in training program development and management
• Manufacturing experience
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changes
• Ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with all levels of management and UAW
• Ability to equate actions to results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience in related field
• Proven experience in training or dissemination of knowledge with retention gain and application

Skills

• Strong WCM or SIS knowledge
• Active and proven implementation of WCM or SIS core methodology
• Proven experience in training or dissemination of knowledge with retention gain and application
• Proven experience in training curriculum development
• Experience in direct application of WCM / SIS methodology and associated tools
• Completion of a train the trainer program (certified trainer designation)
• Supervisor experience
• Instructional design experience: classroom, electronic, on-the-job
• Ability to use raw data to drive strategic plans to impact KPIs
• Ability to read/create radar chart and skill matrix
