Remote | Temporary | Full-Time Preferred (Part-Time Considered – Minimum 20 Hours/Week) GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Single Pathway Same Day Surgery Coder with expertise in Orthopedic Surgery coding. This position is responsible for accurately assigning both professional and facility codes from a single medical record review, ensuring complete, compliant coding and charge capture for outpatient same day surgical procedures. Position Responsibilities Review outpatient same day surgery medical records and supporting documentation.Assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, CPT/HCPCS procedure codes, modifiers, and applicable facility coding elements for both professional and facility billing.Code a wide variety of orthopedic surgical procedures, including arthroscopy, joint procedures, spine, hand, foot and ankle, fracture repairs, and other musculoskeletal surgeries.Ensure accurate modifier assignment and compliance with National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits and payer guidelines.Review and reconcile charges to support complete and compliant charge capture.Identify documentation opportunities and communicate coding clarification needs when appropriate.Maintain established productivity and quality standards.Stay current with coding updates, payer policies, and regulatory changes impacting outpatient surgery services. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent Same Day Surgery coding experience.Extensive experience coding Orthopedic Surgery procedures.Experience coding both professional and facility services in a single-pathway workflow.Strong knowledge of:ICD-10-CMCPT/HCPCSModifier assignmentNCCI editsOPPS/APC reimbursement methodologies Required Systems Experience Epic3M Encoder Required Certifications One or more of the following AHIMA/AAPC certifications is required: CCSCPCCOCRHIARHIT Performance Expectations Coding Accuracy: 95% or greaterMeets established productivity standards based on case complexityTimely completion of assigned work queues while maintaining quality expectations Assignment Details 100% RemoteTemporary assignment for approximately 90 daysPotential for extension or longer-term opportunities based on client needs and performanceMinimum 20 hours per weekAdditional hours may be available, including full-time schedules The Pay Range For This Role Is 32 - 34 USD per hour(Remote (United States))
