Simulcast Teller
About the Role
This role involves processing simulcast wagers and cashing winning tickets. The Simulcast Teller will ensure all transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures. The position requires effective communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in an environment that may include exposure to smoke and loud noises. The role also requires the ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Accurately sell and cash horse racing wagers, ensuring compliance with all racing regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional service to guests, answering questions, and ensuring they have a positive and enjoyable experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year of experience in a customer service or cash handling role.
- Working knowledge of horse racing wagering, including common and exotic betting types.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in a casino environment, which may include exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
