Simulation Laboratory Coordinator

About the role

The position serves as a simulator operator, responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating various simulation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serves as simulator operator by programming, testing, and running scenarios with faculty instructors.
• Sets up equipment for teaching sessions.
• Maintains and disassembles skills stations and trainers.
• Organizes lab resources including on-line, media, and text items to ensure efficiency of lab.
• Maintains the lab in a clean, safe, and operational status.
• Updates policies, procedures, and safety manuals.
• Operates and uses a variety of simulator technologies ranging from anatomic models and task trainers to full body patient simulators and virtual reality surgical simulators.
• Stays abreast of new technologies and procedures.
• Prepares equipment for research.
• Conducts research observations, obtains data, and provides reports.
