Position Duties
- Performs physical set up and takedown of a variety of healthcare simulation manikins and clinical lab environments per scenario protocol.
- Supports staff and faculty during the running of simulation events preparing applications, props placement, and moulage set up to create a realistic healthcare setting, as directed.
- Maintains (AV) media, computers, simulators, task trainers, and other necessary technologies utilized by the department.
- Maintains records of supplies and departmental equipment inventory as well as the maintenance of the assets of the department.
- Acquires and restocks supplies as needed in the simulation suite.
- In consultation with the SIM Manager, develops scheduling plans for repair and maintenance that accommodates the changing needs of the department.
Position Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent OR associate’s degree in a related field.
- Experience: Two years of experience working in a direct patient care position within a hospital or other clinical setting OR certificates from a recognized program that indicates mastery of tools and techniques relevant to position may substitute for up to six months of experience. Experience in healthcare simulation. Experience working in a team environment.
- Special Skills: Ability to change priorities quickly. Effective interpersonal social, communication, detail oriented, and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
