About the role
This role supports digital wargaming and Marine Corps Warfighting Lab initiatives as a Simulation Developer.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain simulation models and environments using various programming languages and tools
- Integrate simulations into larger systems
- Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to improve model fidelity
- Implement new features, test, validate, and troubleshoot simulation platforms
- Plan, coordinate, and document simulation projects, including data collection and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or related field
- At least 7 years of simulation or game development experience (or 10 years without degree)
- Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or Java
- Experience with simulation platforms like Unity, Unreal Engine, or Arena
- Familiarity with version control and collaborative workflows
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of military modeling and simulation, mission engineering, wargaming, 3D graphics, physics engines, database systems, and Agile methodologies
- Strong communication and analytical skills
Security & Physical Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to perform manual labor, lift up to 50 pounds, and remain stationary as needed
- Capable of effective communication and presentation
