The Job

The Signature Celebrations Group Coordinator's role is to provide excellent customer service in responding to and/or delegating small group inquiries that come in through various channels for MGM Resorts properties, supporting and maintaining group room blocks, and providing office support to ensure smooth operations within the Signature Celebrations department.

Starting Rate

$19.00 per hour

The Day-to-day

  • Provide a positive, empowering, and productive work environment through setting an example and consistency of daily work habits and standards
  • Professionally represent the company, department, and staff during pre arrival site tours and meet and greets if requested
  • Review, qualify, and respond to inquiries through all receiving channels and forward communication to specialist and/or appropriate departments as needed in a timely manner
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks as requested
  • Review contracts for accuracy
  • Build and manage group blocks and passkey links
  • Anticipate guest needs and/or engage guests to capture all possible up-sell and cross-sell opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions to the guest interaction to maximize these increased revenue opportunities
  • Maintain knowledge of all property venues including room, restaurants, spa and entertainment information
  • Work closely with Signature Events Group Director and Managers to ensure proper execution of inquiry delegation
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all touch point departments
  • Facilitate internal and external communications of provided quotes and information with group leaders
  • Meet the demands of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multitask
  • Provide excellent service with the Company’s core service standards and brand attributes
  • Complete all duties in accordance with company standards and adhere to all company policies and legal requirements regarding safety, health, and welfare of guests, employees, and properties

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED
  • Must have at least one (1) year of prior relevant experience in guest service in a similar role
  • Previous experience in VIP Services, Front Desk, or Concierge (preferred)
