Position Summary
Affords support in the development and oversight of resident services, focusing on opportunities that enhance health, wellbeing, engagement, and growth among residents.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Planners, schedules, and conducts programs offering physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for residents.
- Invites and encourages residents to participate in various activities.
- Assesses, plans, and manages the facilitation of a comprehensive activities program using team members and volunteers.
- Attends community planned functions and coordinates from start to finish, including setup, execution, and cleanup.
- Plans and coordinates appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
- Coordinates holiday decorations for the community.
- Coordinates with other departments to ensure availability of equipment and supplies for activities and special events.
- Plans, coordinates, and facilitates mixed group (assisted living and Memory Care) activities.
- Facilitates regular and specialized activities in the Memory Care program.
- Maintains activity areas in an orderly manner.
- Maintains an inventory of activity and programming supplies, games, programs, and craft services.
- As applicable, responsible for the daily care of animals and/or plants within the activities program and services.
- Prepares and organizes a calendar of events, which is submitted for final approval to the Executive Director and distributed.
- Distributes the community newsletter.
- Meets with new residents to introduce the program.
- Supports the Director in leading the wellness program.
- Organizes and supervises a volunteer staff.
- Addresses resident groups and other groups on topics of common interest.
- Maintains a database and prepares reports on resident assessments, participation, and satisfaction.
