Description & Requirements
The Sign Language Interpreter conducts medical and general interpreting for healthcare providers, patients, and their families.
- Facilitates understanding in communication by conducting medical and general interpretation for healthcare providers, patients and their families.
- Affirms patient's comprehension of informed consent.
- Aids in triage crisis interventions for hard of hearing/deaf patients and their family.
- Interprets with highest degree of accuracy and completeness in consecutive, simultaneous and sight translation modes.
- Suggests to management referrals of patients and families who could benefit from the assistance of additional patient resources

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree
Experience: 2 years relevant experience
Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Sign Language Interpreter in the state of practice
