Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill surgical patients in the SICU
- Perform bedside procedures, including: arterial line placement, triple lumen catheter insertion, dialysis catheter placement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Participate in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex critical care conditions
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- Prior SICU or critical care experience preferred
- Active PA Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Connecticut State Physician Assistant License
- Connecticut State Registered Nurse License, Connecticut State Nurse Practitioner License, Board specialty certification, as appropriate for position profile
