About the role

The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Planner to support the department's Asset Strategy functions. This role involves researching compliance with federal and state laws, analyzing transportation-related data, and coordinating with other agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Research compliance with federal and state laws for plans, programs, and projects
  • Research, analyze, and interpret federal and state laws, guidelines, and agency policies and procedures
  • Analyze transportation-related data
  • Program and project development, grant management, tracking, monitoring, and documenting
  • Perform analysis using a variety of data sources
  • Conduct planning studies
  • Inter-agency and external coordination

Requirements

  • Education: An Associate’s Degree in Economics, Planning, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience: At least 1 year of related experience

Pay
