Prepares product for systems level assembly, including unpacking, set-up assembly, final packaging, and repair as required. Responsibilities

  • Accesses the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment
  • Verifies kits, enters Batch lot information, packages and labels accessory items according to documented instructions
  • Uses appropriate mats and all required tooling
  • Checks equipment (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) to ensure proper performance
  • Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under close supervision
  • May assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies
  • Notifies leadership of any shut down situations
  • Enters data into Process Feedback System (PFS) and links subassemblies to final unit
  • Enters quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required
  • Mentors and assists lesser qualified operators
  • Builds subassemblies and adds labels per manufacturing instructions and schematic drawings
  • Performs systems integration specific hand solder and inspection operations per documented instructions
  • Performs F-cert function to ensure final units have passed through all necessary operations
  • Performs final inspection of unit to ensure there are no visible defects or fingerprints and wipes down unit as needed
  • Adds user manuals, accessory packs, cables, labels, etc. per documented instructions
  • May assist manufacturing engineering in basic prototype and pre-production builds
  • Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under moderate supervision
  • Mentors other co-workers in assembly activities
  • All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure Benchmark meets or exceeds customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in basic systems integration assembly (new build lines, subassembly/final assembly)
  • Good component recognition skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work with diverse groups
  • Ability to participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math

This is a safety-sensitive position.

Location & Schedule

Physical Location: Winona, MN - West (4245)

Shift: Shift 1

Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 05:30–16:00

Full-time position.

Pay

Compensation Range: $17.83 to $19.74 USD per hour. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
