About the role
We are seeking a Wood Assembler I responsible for safely building wooden crates according to blueprints and customer specifications. Key duties include using power tools, measuring accurately, assembling crate components, applying adhesives, and following safety protocols. The role involves logging work in the production system, adhering to standard procedures, and reporting equipment issues.
Responsibilities
Build various-sized crates, interpret blueprints, ensure quality standards, and operate tools safely. May include assembling bases or skids, using ladders, and conducting specification checks. Follow all safety policies and report unsafe acts or equipment defects to supervisors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 months experience in carpentry, construction, or landscaping
- Familiarity with power tools and motorized equipment
- Basic computer skills to log jobs in Ops Center
- Willingness to work with foam, heat sealers, utility knives, and machinery
Preferred: bilingual (English/Spanish), high school diploma or GED, ability to learn new software.
