Shuttle Van Driver
About the role

This position offers a salary of $19.54 per hour and may require working non-traditional hours and/or split shifts.
Responsibilities
- Operates a multi-passenger vehicle to transport passengers, including persons with disabilities, from established “pick-up/drop-off” locations, to their assigned work site and then returned to the “pick-up/drop-off” locations.
- Maintains accurate and legible records and logs of trip information and behavior of passengers as required.
- Performs vehicle inspections and reports any mechanical problems or defects of the assigned vehicle prior to departure.
- Clean and/or service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a satisfactory driving record
- Communication skills to provide procedural and factual information and respond to questions from customers, employees, and others
- Customer service skills to act responsively to customer inquiries and requests and escalate the more difficult matters appropriately
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities
- Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and common sense skills
- Ability to safely operate a passenger vehicle following a schedule
- Ability to read a map book, understand directions and operate GPS devises when needed
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED is required. The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements: Class A or B w/Pass End Class B, Passenger End, Valid Driver's License, and Vehicle/DevDisabledPerson.
Physical Requirements
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: Operating passenger vehicles, Bending, stooping, reaching to maneuver passengers’ wheelchairs into safety restraints may be required, Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds with or without assistance, Climbing in and out of vehicle.
Work Environment
Most work is performed outdoors and, in a vehicle, while driving. Frequently operate a passenger bus in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.

$19.54 per hour
