Shuttle Driver (Non-CDL, PDOT)

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
• Be present at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform.
• Carry a valid state‑issued driver’s license at all times while on duty.
• Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have.
• Direct customers to the Facility Manager for further assistance when necessary.
• Report known accidents, observed or suspected policy violations, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the garage office.
• Substitute for cashiers or valets, when authorized and necessary.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all garage areas, major streets, landmarks, and freeways surrounding the garage.
• Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, including operating shuttle buses at airport locations when applicable.
• Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• License Requirement: Valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Availability to Work: Special shift requirements may vary; availability to work third shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information one‑on‑one to customers and employees.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two‑digit numbers and perform calculations using units of American money.
• Appearance: Must maintain a neat, clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
• Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; may need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made.

Pay

Salary Range: $13.00 per hour
