Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of bus interiors.
- Fuel buses and log trip counts.
- Assist disabled passengers and customers with luggage or traveling items (e.g., operating shuttle buses at airport locations).
- Be present at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform.
- Carry a valid state-issued driver’s license at all times while on duty and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
- Courteously assist customers by answering questions or directing them to the Facility Manager for further assistance.
- Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards to the garage office.
- Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when necessary and authorized.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the garage area, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the vicinity.
- Assist the Facility Manager with additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
- Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) required.
- Availability to work special shifts, including 3rd shift and/or weekends, depending on location needs.
- Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear a complete uniform at all times.
Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one situations to customers and employees.
- Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using units of American money.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Pay
$15.00 - $22.00 per hour (+ tips*). The salary range includes both the hourly rate and estimated tips earned per hour.
