About the Position

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transport and delivery of general commodities between Warehouses. This position drives a diesel tractor/trailer and requires the possession of a CDL.

Functions

  • Promotes safety first and foremost.
  • Delivers freight within scheduled routes.
  • Shuttles trailers between manufacturing facilities and distribution warehouses.
  • Aids with loading/unloading.
  • Tailgates freight off trailer onto customer's dock.
  • Maintains driver’s daily logs, trip reports, and other documents as required.
  • Performs a full pre-trip and post-trip inspection on tractor-trailer.
  • Keeps equipment fueled.
  • Follows company policy, participates in required trainings, and keeps truck clean.
  • Maintains professional conduct and attitude towards other motorists who share the highway.
  • Conforms to all DOT and OSHA regulations and follows state laws.
  • Performs any other reasonable requests as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Class A tractor trailer driving experience.
  • Class A CDL required.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Meets FMCSA and company requirements.
  • Passes Background and Drug Screening.

Travel Requirements

This position is expected to travel approximately 75% or greater.
