How you'll make an impact in this role
- Safely transport adult day center participants to and from the center, medical appointments, and community outings while maintaining reliable, on-time schedules
- Provide hands-on assistance by helping participants safely enter and exit the vehicle, securing wheelchairs and mobility devices, and ensuring a comfortable, compassionate ride
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness, safety, and accurate transportation logs while promptly reporting maintenance needs or incidents
- Support the transportation team by adapting routes as needed, following all traffic laws and safety regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service to participants and caregivers
Minimum requirements
- Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
- One or more of the following required:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
- Heart Saver AED obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required (Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable)
Preferred qualifications
- Chauffeur preferred
- Drivers License specializing in Commercial preferred
