Shuttle Driver 1:30pm-9:30pm M-F

About the role

Operates shuttle bus and/or passenger coach-type vehicles to safely transport passengers to various destinations while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Follows scheduled shuttle routes prepared by the Manager, Supervisor, and/or Dispatcher.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to passengers while en route to/from destinations.
• Follow established routes and departure times.
• Communicate with dispatch for guidance on any detours or delays.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with Mass General Brigham Fleet Safety Program Policies and Procedures, as well as applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Maintain an accurate log documenting the number of passengers, trips completed, mileage, interior/exterior vehicle inspection, and other requested information.
• Ensure adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing.
• Assist passengers with disabilities and others needing assistance to board and disembark from the vehicle via the wheelchair lift.
• Report any emergencies, concerns with the vehicle, and/or passengers immediately to the Supervisor and/or Dispatcher.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred; experience may substitute).
• Proven experience as a shuttle bus driver (1-2 years required).
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements (Massachusetts).
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card from Occupational Health.
• Excellent driving skills for shuttle buses and coach-type vehicles, with the ability to navigate various road and weather conditions safely.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Required credentials: MGH Security RMV Check and MGB Internal Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report.

Schedule

35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM (rotating shift).

Pay

$18.58 - $26.58/hourly (Grade 3). Base pay is determined by skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors.
