Sales Related Responsibilities
- Promote add-on sales at the time of order entry via the promotion of sundries and other related items
- Aid trade and showroom customers in the selection of products
- Gain a high level of product knowledge about the company's products and be able to effectively respond to inquiries as they relate to the recommended (or restricted) use
- Maintain the CSR work area in an organized manner that is conducive to sales and service
- Support the OSR and BCSS in the performance of their duties
- Develop and maintain a trade client base via in-house meetings as well as telephone and internet communications
- Proactively identify new opportunities and sales channels
- Promote the branch showroom for use as a selection center for the A&D trade, including the use of the showroom for trade events and promotions
- Collaborate with the OSR and BCSS sales team via regular meetings and the sharing of leads and other pertinent market information
- Protect the integrity of the Florida Tile’s pricing rules by effectively qualifying customers and their respective price template
Operations and Support
- Accurately perform order entry process, to include product, quantity, and price verification
- Confirm orders placed by customers via phone, fax, and internet
- Perform stock and price checks for customers and other branches
- Provide freight/shipping information (cost, tracking, etc.) to customers/branches in a timely and accurate manner
- Apply freight and handling expenses to orders so as to be able to effectively invoice customers for related expenses
- Regularly follow up with customers as to the status of their order(s)
- Make collection (A/R) calls/contacts as directed by Branch Manager/Branch Operations Manager
- Assist the branch staff in all aspects of customer service, order processing, customer contact (call backs), and daily tasks as directed by ABM/BM/RM, to include, but not limited to the daily deposit, daily invoicing, inventory receiving and locating, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining the showroom and keeping all displayed products up to date, properly identified (labeled), and merchandised in a manner that projects a user-friendly and informative environment
Qualifications
- Customer service experience with a manufacturer of building products preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- SAP software experience, CMS experiences a plus
- High School diploma or GED required
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Team player with commitment to company values
- Experience in the tile or flooring industry is a plus
- Minimum of 12 months retail or sales experience
- Education in marketing or design field a plus
- Knowledge of inside sales techniques
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
