About the role

At Jeni’s, we’re devoted to making better ice creams and bringing people together. Our scoop shops are at the heart of how we serve this mission—they are where we offer the ice creams we work so hard to build from the ground up, and where people come together to share joy and conversation. As a Shopkeeper, you will lead the shop team by training and role-modeling exceptional customer service, beautiful scooping, hustling through lines, late-night deep cleaning, and treating all customers and team members with care and respect.

Shopkeepers are full-time employees responsible for accounting, scheduling, inventory/ordering, and all HR functions (hiring, training, development, and performance management of all team members). This position involves working variable shifts, including opening shifts, closing shifts, and/or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shop team through training and role-modeling exceptional customer service
• Ensure beautiful scooping and efficient service during busy periods
• Manage late-night deep cleaning and shop maintenance
• Oversee accounting, scheduling, inventory, and ordering
• Handle all HR functions, including hiring, training, development, and performance management
• Foster a team-first mentality and a positive work environment

• Prior management experience, particularly in the service industry, is a plus but not required
