Shop Worker

What You'll Do

• Perform general labor in the shop dealing with glass handling, metal fabrication, assembly, glazing or packaging.
• Train on reading shop drawings and blueprints, machine operation, and/or using manual and hand tools.
• Meet standard operating procedures in the shop.
• Maintain established daily productivity goals.
• Participate in 5S initiatives.
• Apply continuous improvement principles.
• If certified, operate a forklift.
• Work in a safe environment by following safety procedures, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and participating in safety suggestion programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Manufacturing and Curtain Wall industry experience (highly preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to a safe and enjoyable work environment.
• Able to work collaboratively with a team.
• Able to walk, bend, twist, squat, and climb on an occasional basis.
• Able to push, pull, and lift between 30 and 60 pounds.
