What you’ll do
- Model and promote good safety practices. Pass all required training.
- Exercise proper care, maintenance and operation of all welding equipment.
- Utilize various welding techniques and appropriate tools to weld and fabricate high quality parts, subassemblies and other metal components, structures and equipment as specified by blueprints, work orders and/or oral instructions. Weldments vary in type, size and direction and are performed on a variety of materials.
- Complete required welding tasks by set timelines; ensuring safety is never compromised.
- Repair or rework fabrications when necessary.
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area.
- Travel to various locations or job assignments in outlying or remote areas as needed.
- Other non-welding duties as assigned (i.e., finish work, paint prep, mechanical).
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED. Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for required education.
- Welding experience either through education or manufacturing industry using multiple welding machines including the arc welder, TIG (tungsten inert gas) welder and MIG (metal inert gas) welder, aluminum.
- Fabrication in the construction field preferred.
- Must pass drug screening and criminal background check.

Working Conditions
- Very medium work - exert 25 - 75 pounds of force constantly to life, carry and move objects.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and the ability to climb, kneel, stand, walk crouch, stoop, reach, pull and push.
- Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather including dry, wet and humid conditions where temperatures can range from below zero to 90+ degrees.
- Work environments include exposure to noise, dust, gasses, chemical fumes, oil, grease and hazardous materials, mists, odors and vibrations; noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
