Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Abrade metal surfaces to remove light scale and impart a surface finish sufficient for parts to receive coating
- Mask specified areas of parts to protect from abrading prior to coating
- Examine blasted parts to ensure conformance to process requirements
- Service and maintain machinery in accordance with company and manufacturers' procedures
- Follow instructions per traveler
- Load and unload the ovens
- Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment
- Maintain records and logs as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Ability: Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence.
- Mathematical Ability: Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10's and 100's. Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
- Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
