About the Role

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a HVAC Team Leader based in Miami, FL. You'll perform preventive and reactive maintenance, repairs, and management of fleet, spare parts, and all necessary ancillaries consumables of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors at the shop. Power without pause. Heating, cooling, and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers' worlds on, from world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities that rely on us for decades.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of HVAC equipment and complete required documentation.
  • Complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner, including data entry and general use of computer systems and software as directed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures in-house, over the phone, and on customer sites when required.
  • Install and operate equipment as directed internally and on customer sites when needed.
  • Determine nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
  • Read and understand schematics.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary certifications required to operate equipment as outlined by federal, provincial, and local ordinances.
  • Prepare and provide various reports to maintain accurate record-keeping on equipment, including preventative maintenance records.
  • Promote a positive and productive working environment for all employees.
  • Provide on-call and after-hours support as needed.
  • Coach and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills.
  • Assist with technical development and parts research.
  • Ensure shop meets GSCS standards and complete yard walks for fleet accuracy and readiness.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-7 years of experience working on commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Valid driver's license and EPA certification.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking is preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
  • Knowledge of schematics and technical data.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints and in stressful situations.
  • Commitment to safety and safe work practices.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance.
  • Good finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to safely meet physical demands, including lifting (60 lbs.), pushing/pulling (80 lbs.), carrying (60 lbs.), climbing stairs and ladders, and stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
