Technician 2 Temp Control

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• Set up and operate equipment on customer sites, either independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 6+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card, as required by customer needs.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; ability to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
• Ability to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground/floor level to full overhead level.
• Good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
• Ability to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
