Shop Supervisor - Transportation Department

Requirements

• Work experience necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Completion of an apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic or forty‑eight (48) months experience as a general automotive repairperson acquired through an accredited apprenticeship program.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of mechanical equipment.
• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate.
• Class C driver’s license holders are eligible to apply; however, if selected, the candidate must obtain a Class B license (Valid California Commercial Driver’s License – Class B with Air Brake and Passenger endorsement) within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
• Valid medical examiner’s certificate issued in accordance with the Motor Carrier safety regulations of the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Department of Transportation Power Industrial Truck Operator’s Permit to be obtained within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
• Must provide a DMV printout within five (5) workdays of offer of employment.
