Job details
We are seeking someone for our Madison, WI branch. This is a shop-based role with no travel required. Candidates must have their own professional grade tools and toolbox.
What you'll do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment in a shop setting
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine, and electrical repairs
- Complete preventive maintenance and scheduled service inspections
- Use diagnostic software, service manuals, and schematics to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and labor hours
- Work closely with service leadership and parts teams to complete repairs efficiently
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Participate in training to stay current with equipment technology
What we're looking for
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Experience working with diesel-powered equipment, hydraulics, or industrial machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Comfort using computers and diagnostic tools
- Ownership of professional-grade tools and toolbox
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet physical job requirements
- Heavy construction equipment experience is a plus but not required for the right mechanically strong candidate
