About the role

Power Motive Corporation is seeking a Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose all machine systems and components
  • Determine appropriate parts necessary
  • Change or rebuild machine components, as necessary
  • Use pressure-washing equipment to clean machinery
  • Ensure that machines are in safe operating condition
  • Perform basic welding, cutting, and grinding
  • Change oil and filters on machinery
  • Change ground engaging gear and attachments on machinery
  • Read and understand parts and service books
  • Maintain service records for machines
  • Cleans tools and working area
  • Able to interact professionally and courteously with customers
  • Supports our customers, sales, and parts departments
  • Generates revenue for Power Motive Corporation

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
  • Education/Certification in Heavy Equipment repairs (preferred)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Heavy Equipment Experience
  • Diesel Technician certification (preferred)
  • Ability to be certified on a forklift and overhead crane operation
  • Heavy Equipment Dealer certification(s) (plus)
