About the role
Power Motive Corporation is seeking a Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose all machine systems and components
- Determine appropriate parts necessary
- Change or rebuild machine components, as necessary
- Use pressure-washing equipment to clean machinery
- Ensure that machines are in safe operating condition
- Perform basic welding, cutting, and grinding
- Change oil and filters on machinery
- Change ground engaging gear and attachments on machinery
- Read and understand parts and service books
- Maintain service records for machines
- Cleans tools and working area
- Able to interact professionally and courteously with customers
- Supports our customers, sales, and parts departments
- Generates revenue for Power Motive Corporation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Education/Certification in Heavy Equipment repairs (preferred)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Heavy Equipment Experience
- Diesel Technician certification (preferred)
- Ability to be certified on a forklift and overhead crane operation
- Heavy Equipment Dealer certification(s) (plus)
