Shop Service Technician

As a Shop Technician operating out in our Atlanta, GA branch you would be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and material handling equipment within the branch service shop. This role focuses on delivering high-quality repairs, rebuilds, and preventive maintenance in a controlled shop environment while supporting rental, used, and customer-owned equipment needs. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment in the shop Perform planned maintenance, rebuilds, and safety inspections Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems Prepare rental and used equipment to company and safety standards Document repairs, parts usage, and labor accurately and on time Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment preferredExperience working with multiple brands of forklifts preferredStrong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionValid driver’s license and clean driving recordGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments What We Bring To The Table G&W Equipment, Inc. offers stability, career advancement, a positive work environment, and employee referral incentives.
