Shop Operations Leader - 2nd Shift

Responsible for the daily execution of manufacturing operations within Combustion and 3DP departments. Ensures the reliability, consistency, and efficiency of production lines by leveraging lean manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement. Leads the hourly workforce during second shift, ensuring all departmental KPIs are met through proactive manpower planning, production gap management, and disciplined execution of standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
  • Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.
  • Team management of salaried employees (does not include production supervisors who oversee hourly employees).
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline using prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy and strategy.
  • Apply in-depth understanding of key business drivers to accomplish own work and integrate with other teams.
  • Use judgment to propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance, leveraging prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
  • Access technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems, using multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • Act as an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent, providing informal guidance to new team members.

Requirements

  • Ability to work 2nd Shift (2:15 PM – 10:45 PM) with some flexibility.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations management.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college; OR high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Desired Characteristics

  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with machining manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Pay

For candidates applying to a U.S.-based position, the pay range is between $76,300.00 and $114,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.

Schedule

2nd Shift (2:15 PM – 10:45 PM) with some flexibility.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
