About the role
Shop Service Techs function as part of the Service team and are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of material handling and construction equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at the local branch to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
- Effectively communicate with Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
- Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime while maintaining safe working standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education and/or experience in a related field.
- Possessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools.
- Above average communication skills.
- Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications.
- Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
